QuickOutcomes

The founder

Hi, I’m Chris Kave.

30 years building technology. Two companies. Eight country music albums. All of it led here.

I started my first software company, Aurora North Software, in 2006 out of a spare room. No investors, no partners, just a problem I knew how to solve.

That company became Quartz IP. Today it serves 5 of the top 10 US patent filing firms and processes over 700,000 documents a year. We have 20-plus employees. I built the product, the team, the marketing, the automation stack. All of it.

Along the way, I did something completely different. My dad Allen and I have a country music duo called Folks Like Them. We’ve put out 8 albums together. And when it came time to grow the audience, I built the entire marketing and social media automation system myself. Grew our Facebook following to 68,000. Bookings went up 40%.

Two very different worlds. Same lesson from both.

The businesses that win aren’t the ones with the biggest budgets. They’re the ones that stop wasting time on work a machine should handle.

I’ve spent 30 years building technology for companies that could afford six-figure budgets. But the plumber down the street? The dentist on Pearl Street? The property manager trying to keep up with 50 units? They need the same tools. They just can’t spend what a law firm spends to get them.

That’s why I started QuickOutcomes.

The team

A family project

I’m building QuickOutcomes with my sons Ezra and Adam.

There’s no board of directors. No investors asking about growth targets. No pressure to sell you something you don’t need so our quarterly numbers look good.

When we take on your project, our name is on it. Literally. And that changes how we work. We’re not going to automate something that shouldn’t be automated just to fill a monthly invoice. If your business doesn’t need what we offer, we’ll tell you.

That’s the advantage of a family business. We think in years, not quarters.

Local advantage

We live here. That matters.

We’re in Essex Junction. Not Austin, not San Francisco, not a co-working space in Brooklyn.

We drive past the same businesses you do. We know that January in Vermont means burst pipes and emergency calls at 2am. We know mud season slows everything down. We know that when summer hits, every contractor in Chittenden County is booked out three weeks and still drowning in admin work.

A software company in California doesn’t know any of that. They’ll sell you the same automation they sell a pool cleaning service in Phoenix. Same templates, same setup, same playbook.

Your business isn’t the same. Your customers aren’t the same. Your busy season isn’t the same.

We build automation that fits the way your business actually runs. Not the way a SaaS company thinks it should run.

And if something goes sideways, you don’t file a support ticket. You call Chris.

Our principles

What we believe

Say what’s true, even when it costs us the sale

We’ve told prospective clients that they don’t need automation yet. That their money would be better spent on a better website first, or that the problem they want to solve isn’t actually a technology problem. We’d rather lose the sale than take your money for something that won’t deliver.

Build it right the first time

When I built Quartz IP, I learned that shortcuts in the foundation always cost more to fix later. That’s why we offer the Get AI-Ready step. If the AI doesn’t know who your customers are or how your business sounds, the automation will produce generic garbage. Fast garbage is still garbage. We do the foundation work first.

You should be able to leave whenever you want

No subscriptions. No monthly fees. You pay for the build and you own the result. If you need more work later, we’ll scope it and give you a clear price. No surprises.

Keep it simple enough to explain over coffee

If we can’t explain what we’re building for you in plain language at a coffee shop in Essex Junction, we haven’t thought about it clearly enough. Your automation shouldn’t require a manual. It should just work.

Let's figure out what you need.

The consultation is free. 30 minutes. We'll look at your business, find where time is disappearing, and give you a clear proposal with a specific price. No pitch. No pressure.
